Friday, December 21st, 2007Viewing EJB deployment descriptors Expand the bean node in the structure pane to see the type of information you can enter for each bean. The available nodes vary depending on whether the bean is an entity bean, a session bean, or a message-driven bean. Here you can see the available nodes for an entity bean. Module-wide nodes The remaining nodes you see in the structure pane are relevant to the entire EJB module, not just a specific bean. In this particular example, BEA s WebLogic Server is the target application server, so you ll see the icon that indicates the node is a server- specific node: Viewing XML code of module descriptors As you work with the DD editor, you are creating XML code. To see the actual XML code, 1 Expand the Deployment Descriptors node in the project pane. A list of deployment descriptors appears: 2 Double-click the deployment descriptor you want to see. The XML source code appears in the content pane on the Source page: Chapter 13: Editing EJB deployment descriptors 119
